Unleashing the Magic of Taste: Carnegie Hall's Expanded Kids' Zone Promises Unforgettable Family Fun

Lewisburg, West Virginia – Carnegie Hall's 38th Taste of Our Towns (TOOT) fundraiser is set to captivate the community with an expanded Kids' Zone, offering a diverse array of activities and entertainment to delight children of all ages. Scheduled for Saturday, October 12, from 12 – 4 p.m., in the heart of downtown Lewisburg, the TOOT festival promises a day filled with delectable culinary delights, live music, street performers, and a vibrant celebration of the arts.

Elevating the Family Experience at TOOT

Boundless Fun in the Kids' Zone

The Kids' Zone, located on North Court Street, will be the epicenter of family-friendly entertainment. Families can embark on thrilling hayrides starting in front of the Greenbrier County Courthouse, with rides available every 15 to 20 minutes. These free-of-charge excursions offer a unique opportunity for children and adults alike to immerse themselves in the scenic beauty of the region. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and no alcohol is permitted on the rides.Beyond the hayrides, the Kids' Zone will captivate young visitors with a diverse array of activities. Aspiring artists can unleash their creativity at the live mural painting experience, where they can collaborate with renowned artist Sandra Schmocker to bring to life vibrant, coloring-book-style designs. The needle felting station, led by Karen Leland, will allow children to explore the art of sculpting with wool, fostering their tactile skills and imagination.

Enchanting Performances and Interactive Fun

The highlight of the Kids' Zone will undoubtedly be the live Marionette Circus, presented by performance artist Linda Zimmer. Audiences will be mesmerized as they witness the graceful movements and captivating storytelling of these intricate puppets. The Kids' Zone will also feature face painting, a duck pond with prizes for all ages, and a bubble machine, ensuring endless opportunities for laughter and delight. For those seeking an adrenaline-fueled experience, the bounce slide, provided by West Virginia Inflatables, will be a must-visit attraction. A wristband, available for purchase at the Carnegie Hall Information Booth, will grant unlimited access to this thrilling ride.

A Celebration of Community and Creativity

The expanded Kids' Zone at the 2024 Taste of Our Towns (TOOT) festival is a testament to Carnegie Hall's commitment to creating a truly inclusive and engaging event for families. By offering a diverse range of activities and entertainment, the organization aims to foster a sense of wonder, creativity, and community among the youngest members of the Lewisburg community. As families gather to savor the delectable offerings, immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere, and explore the boundless possibilities of the Kids' Zone, they will undoubtedly create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. The 2024 TOOT festival promises to be a truly unforgettable celebration of the arts, community, and the joy of being a child.
