At approximately 11:30 PM on Saturday night, the Negaunee Police Department responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of US-41 and Teal Lake Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a serious accident involving a silver BMW and a 2020 International Van Damme mine truck.The investigation revealed that the BMW, driven by a 57-year-old woman, was traveling northbound on Teal Lake Avenue when it went straight through the intersection, colliding with the westbound mine truck. The force of the impact caused the mine truck to become stuck on its driver's side.

Injuries and Emergency Care

The driver of the BMW sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash and was immediately transported to UPHS-Marquette for urgent medical attention. In contrast, the 59-year-old driver of the mine truck did not suffer any significant injuries.

The collision at the intersection of US-41 and Teal Lake Avenue necessitated the closure of US-41 for several hours as authorities investigated the scene and worked to clear the area.
